A key barrier to helping small business entrepreneurs compete is the large amount of time needed to provide professional grade consulting. Agora works with exceptional student consultants to give entrepreneurs access to strategy consulting at minimal cost.


Agora Consultants are passionate MBA students from a range of backgrounds who understand the power of business skills to unleash a new generation of emerging market business leaders. Through their networks, skills and experience, they help to level the playing field for the small business entrepreneur. By interacting directly with Agora Entrepreneurs, consultants also learn first-hand the challenges and opportunities entrepreneurs face in developing countries.

There have been 140 Agora consultants to date from over 20 countries. They work in a range of industries across the world. The single biggest employer of former Agora Consultants is McKinsey and Co.

Agora currently has partnerships with Columbia Business School, Georgetown University, University of Virginia (Darden), Duke (Fuqua), University of Michigan (William Davidson Institute) and MIT (Sloan).
